Set in the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains outside of Mossel Bay, Eight Bells Mountain Inn is a perfect blend of four-star elegance and countryside charm. Our picturesque mountain views and lush gardens set the perfect stage for your special day. Our on-site coordinator will work with you to customise and create an intimate bespoke wedding experience!

We can accommodate weddings of up to 50 people and have a versatile venue that offers a variety of ceremony spaces and reception locations to choose from. Ceremonies can be held under the open-sided thatched lapa, under the lush tree canopy of the Tea Garden, out on the open lawn overlooking the mountains, or in the Sunroom for an intimate indoor experience. The reception can be held outdoors under the trees of the Tea Garden or inside the elegant Oak Room Restaurant.

We have a fully equipped bar and restaurant to provide in-house catering services that will be personalised to meet your needs. We specialise in creating multi-course plated meals that feature our signature country-style traditional cuisine.  Our fully licensed bar carries a wide selection of wine, sparkling wine, beer, spirits, and soft drinks. Drinks can either be selected and prearranged beforehand or paid via a cash bar system on the day.

We are a traditional English-style mountain resort with four-star facilities and 25 tastefully decorated en-suite rooms. We have a variety of room types, from standard en-suites and family units to log cabin-style chalets and thatched rondavels. We are a bed and breakfast style hotel, and so a full English breakfast is included -- perfect for hosting a wedding weekend! By staying on-site, guests can spend more time with friends and family, enjoy pre- or post-wedding festivities, and utilise our outdoor and indoor recreation facilities. Plus, everyone can skip the hassle of a post-wedding drive by opting for an easy walk to a comfortable bed instead! We offer special rates to wedding guests for the whole weekend!

There are a variety of wedding packages and optional add-ons to choose from – all of which are flexible and customisable. We have intimate elopement packages for micro-weddings with 20 people or less – perfect for couples that want to ditch the planning and financial stress of a large wedding! We have a Venue-only Package that is designed for couples that want to keep things separate, simple, and budget-friendly! Our most inclusive wedding package, the Full Wedding Package, includes the essentials – even accommodation for all your guests! This package also guarantees exclusive use of the entire hotel, providing complete privacy for your special day!

Our facilities are also perfect for honeymoon couples who just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the life. If you are in search for a beautiful setting with a magnificant backdrop for your proposal, let us know! Our horse riding excursions are also a wonderful addition to the perfect proposal!

Outdoor facilities consists of a bell shaped swimming pool – with small kiddies pool – sun loungers and a thatched boma, two all weather tennis courts, a glass-back squash court, and a bowling green. The farm and it's surroundings are known for it's amazing fynbos and a variety of hiking trials like the Rooster walking trails are available. The trail is marked and colour coded. We also offer horse trails.
