It all started back in 2018 when Christelle Rall, an internationally acclaimed wedding photographer, decided it was time to put her hometown on the wedding map. After photographing weddings across the globe—from the Seychelles and the Namib Desert to Dubai, Tanzania, and the United States—Christelle came to a powerful realisation: the Garden Route and Klein Karoo have everything it takes to be a world-class destination for weddings.
And it’s no wonder. She grew up here. The forests, mountains, rivers, beaches, and valleys were her childhood playground. These familiar landscapes became even more significant after seeing the world and recognising that what’s available right here in South Africa is truly exceptional. Like so many in the events world, we were deeply impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Everything came to a standstill. But rather than give up, we took the opportunity to realign our vision, double down on quality, and prepare for a new chapter.
We’ve also had to start fresh with our Instagram account after it was hacked in 2021, losing over 26,000 followers. But even that couldn’t stop our growth. In 2023, we relaunched and are rebuilding with a renewed sense of purpose, connecting with a global audience one beautiful post at a time.
Through every challenge, our mission has remained the same: to establish the Garden Route and Klein Karoo as one of the world’s most sought-after wedding destinations in South Africa—and to make it easier than ever for couples to plan unforgettable weddings here.
